Lyon returned to the top of Ligue 1 in emphatic fashion after overwhelming Montpellier at Stade de la Mosson.
Lucas Barrios put the hosts in front but two goals apiece from Alexandre Lacazette and Nabil Fekir and one from Corentin Tolisso restored Lyon's one-point lead from Paris St-Germain.
Paris St-Germain had gone two points clear by beating Lens 4-1 on Saturday.
But Hubert Fournier's side remain on course for what would be a first league title since 2008.
